Maps of the northern and southern stars, mystery, magic, fortunes, wishes...

A journey to cave paintings, shaman symbols, and miniatures. Inspirations from the lines and colors of our common past...A journey to see into the future…Lust for things exotic and strange...Search for existence and inexistence, invitation to dreams... The invention of writing and drawing, two important watersheds in human history, occurred in Anatolia two thousand years before it did in Europe. The book of Cihannüma, printed in 1732 by İbrahim Müteferrika, was discovered in an antique bookstore and subsequently published by Boyut Publishing. The maps of the northern and southern stars contained in this book, which dates back 360 years, were used in the design of the Dervish İrismano tea glasses. This pattern, now brought to modern life as a lovely memory of our cultural past and the history of art, interprets the adventurous elements of imagination related to mystery, magic, fortunes, and wishes by using drawings from our common culture.
